In Brief ...

Tab Warwick.

Tab's background reads like the classic example of the working musician.

Excelling in percussion at High School, he quickly rose to the top of the Virginia regional drumming fraternity, placing first in regional drum soloing competition and was recognized as a young Gene Krupa or Buddy Rich.

He's toured the U.S., working with the premier Beatles tribute bands, "Band On The Run" and "Penny Lane" , East Coast premiere show bands Savannah and Liberation and also with Police Academy's man of 10,000 sound FX celebrity, Michael Winslow

He's worked as writer/producer on numerous corporate audio/video projects for a number of years, working for Master Traxx Productions, with credits too numerous to mention.

Recently, Tab completed work as the co-writer/producer on the album "It's Just A Nam Thing", working with Veterans to produce an album worthy of their story. It has been universally greeted with acclaim.

The Longer Version

After nearly four years in Brasil, Tabinho's family made an abrupt return to the U.S. following his father's resignation from his civil service assignment. Tabinho, at age 11, experienced immediate devastation when he learned that his school, and even worse, his country, might as well have considered soccer a dangerous chronic disease from a distant alien galaxy. The deep passion, joy, and respect for which he had worked so hard seemed to have instantly forsaken him for all eternity.

Less than a year had passed before a particular incident occured that caused a spark to ignite in Tab during a concert at his intermediate school. The high school stage band was showing off pretty well, especially the drummer with the long hair and tear drop shades. Enough was enough when Tab secretly overheard the pretty little girl he had a crush on, dreamily inform her girlfriend how cute and adorable she thought "joe cool" the drummer was. That was enough to recapture the very same determined, competitve spirit. That very afternoon after homework, the family drum set was immediately pulled from storage, set up, and a brand new passion began Tab now had a brand new after school game, demanding tremendous physical endurance and exceptional coordination, on his very own full size field of opportunity. Like soccer before, Tab's dedication to excellence once again led him to playing with mostly adults, perfecting his position and the team work with other players. With many goals to score ahead of him he decided to keep his sights on the long term goal, which was natural for the pre-teen to desire to become "the most famous drummer in the universe."

Through the years, little Tab Warwick, the boy most considered a child prodigy drummer and voted most talented of his senior class, graduated with A-B honors, quickly seasoning into an accomplished performer, artist, musician, composer, arranger, audio/video producer and engineer.
(who still loves his soccer)! Tab, to this day still considers his brother Trey, his closest male friend on earth and favorite musician, who also shared in every one of those home soccer games. Trey, also a gifted musician and person, was voted most talented senior of his class, including class president.

From age 11, the daily four hour feeding of Tab's passion for drumming eventually began to crave the full course meal of music, from conception to the final master cut. For many years Tab has performed numerous leading five star venues, cabarets and clubs in 46 of our 50 United States with premiere west and east coast show bands. To date, he has secured every gig auditioned for and also placed first in each competition he willed to participate. His firm roots in rock and jazz seemed to satisfy the physical addiction he obtained from soccer, neglecting any interest in soft drumming music styles such as traditional country music.

Thankfully, this growing pain was overcome when one day, a Wyoming artist hired him to co-write, perform and produce his catchy little country skeletal structures. This challenge, Tab's very first country music experience, just happened to spawn a track which received honorable mention in the singles review column of the August 1992 issue of Nashville's Music Row magazine which also happened to surpass Joe Diffie's "Next thing Smokin/Epic" effort. Since then, Tab has broadened his tastes and enjoys exploring the freedom of variety, enabling him to speak every translation of the universal language to anyone, anywhere. Through the years, Tab has performed and produced for a variety of artists ranging in styles anywhere from classical to rap. Several of these artists just happen to be enjoying six star reviews on various record sales sites this very moment.

Because of the unfortunate 9/11 tragedy, touring was cut short while performing with Police Academy's man of 10,000 sound effects, Michael Winslow. Since, Tab has been back in the studio assisting other artists and focusing very carefully on the Lord's direction for his talents, while continuing the development of his latest solo concept album. The CD entitled "Darkling Plain" should be released sometime in early 2008.

Always interested in working with new and different artists, Tab continues to remain solid machine gun for hire. Tab has built a huge library of original material and has just this year decided to begin releasing material little by little to share with the world.
